05 July 2018

Aurora Lighting Australia & NZ is pleased to announce its partnership with Electrical Supply Corp. This exclusive alliance between Aurora and ESC has been months in the making with the formal announcement taking place during Auroras presence in New Zealand at the Buildnz exhibition, which was held on the 4-5 July 2018 in Auckland.

Aurora Lighting Australia was established in 2013 and launched its two smart lighting innovations to the Building, Construction, Design, and Architecture Industries at New Zealand’s leading trade event. Electrical Supply Corp offers an extensive and comprehensive range of leading products and brands. Headquartered in Hamilton, it is within the top 10 key preferred suppliers to all electrical wholesale groups throughout New Zealand.

Speaking at the event, Managing Director of Aurora Australia & New Zealand, Fred Nimarota says, “I am extremely excited about our future in New Zealand because for us to secure an exclusive partnership with Electrical Supply Corp as our agent, who are one the longest standing and leading distributors in New Zealand is a huge coup. The fact that New Zealand has embraced smart technology a lot faster than Australia over the years and to have ESC spearhead not only our Project and Trade portfolio but to lead with our AOne Smart System a Zigbee protocol via a cloud platform “Gooee” will truly provide the NZ market with a leading smart connected home automation system that continues to evolve.”

Aurora’s AOne Smart System, powered by Gooee, is designed specifically with the end users and contractor in mind. It is an extremely affordable control and sensing solution that can easily be commissioned in less than fifteen minutes. Offering excellent value for homes, offices and retail stores, and allows users to wirelessly control their premises from anywhere in the world.

Electrical Supply Corp’s Managing Director, Russell Waterhouse, says, “We warmly welcome Aurora to New Zealand and are proud to be the first to partner with them upon their entry into the country. The products they design and manufacture are extremely suitable for this market and we are delighted to be the first to deliver across the country such a vast range of innovative and smart solutions. New Zealand has always been one step ahead when it comes to technology so being the first company in NZ to have access to these new smart solutions is exciting.”

The AOne offers users the opportunity to set schedules, create groups and select scenes, enabling programming for on/off lighting or dimming at any time, mood setting and lighting for one or multiple rooms, increasing security and energy saving benefits.

“For the past 19 years Aurora has maintained a reputation in trade for designing and developing quality innovative products ensuring contractors fit them with confidence. The AOne is another revolutionary product for Aurora that is manufactured specifically for trade. We’ve ensured contractors can use solutions up to an enterprise level without any installation issues. It’s really as simple as it looks and installation is fast. Furthermore, working alongside tech companies like Gooee enables us to provide systems and devices that can operate with others smart voice command systems such as Google Assistant & Alexa,” Nimarota added.

Aurora’s commercial smart solution, AXiO, is a B2B IoT lighting and sensory platform, also powered by Gooee, that companies can deploy across their estate to manage building intelligence, space utilisation and the interaction with customers and staff alike, increasing revenues and creating the ultimate modern, digital working and retail experience.

“Providing additional value beyond lighting is our aim as we head into the future. The experience that our AXiO platform can provide end users is so beneficial to companies as it enables them to offer one that’s tailored to their brand or culture. This is in addition to it significantly altering the way they operate and the amount of savings that can be achieved through its installation and utilisation. Including this IoT technology in lighting design is now essential for companies that want to continue to differentiate themselves and maintain a modern, increasingly flexible and attractive environment,” Nimarota said.
